চট্টগ্রামের ইস্টার্ন রিফাইনারি পিএলসিতে বর্তমানে প্রায় ১ লাখ টন অপরিশোধিত তেল মজুত রয়েছে। দৈনিক শোধনসক্ষমতা অনুযায়ী এই মজুত দিয়ে আরও ২০ থেকে ২২ দিন উৎপাদন চালানো সম্ভব। তবে নির্ধারিত সময়ে নতুন চালান না এলে দেশের একমাত্র রাষ্ট্রীয় তেল শোধনাগারটির উৎপাদনব্যবস্থায় চাপ তৈরি হতে পারে বলে আশঙ্কা করছেন জ্বালানি খাতসংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিরা।
